"New Millennium English-5" (fourth year) has an additional innovative components - multimedia application that is hosted freely available on the website in a single collection of digital educational resources, where possible offered free use of resources.
Designed for students who have studied English in primary schools and holding them at a level determined by the Federal component of the state standard of elementary general education in English. This course provides a succession of approaches and carries out a planned transition from the initial stages of learning English at secondary
level. The novelty of the CMO is to use modern communication and computer technologies and demonstrates the following advantages of using ICT in learning English:
* Providing interactivity to learning;
* The ability to create a natural language environment and a more effective means for developing language skills of students;
* Variation in the amount of educational material and levels of its submission;
* The ability to maintain interest and motivation of the student;
* The possibility of differentiated education according to different individual characteristics of students.
The course uses only authentic language materials that reflect the current use of English native speakers. This approach, focused on the individual student has a problem-project nature, combining various forms of educational process: individual, pair and group. Topics sections lessons, texts and discussion of problems corresponds to the
age peculiarities and interests of fifth graders, reflects the interdisciplinary and intercultural communication.
